Advertisments on Spring Break
The whole week I was in Florida I saw advertisements on pretty much everything. When ever we were sitting on the beach a plane would fly by every few minutes with advertisements for companies and what the specials were at the bars that night. People were always walking around handing out Vitamin Waters and other free things like Vitamin Waters that they wanted you to try. When ever we went into the liquor store they were always offering free samples of different alcohol that they wanted you to try. Even after having the sample they would give us free sunglasses and shot glasses that had the name of the alcohol on it. They are offering free samples because they hope that we will like it and then decide to buy some, which was a good idea.

I don't think the only reason there was so much advertising in Florida was just because of spring break. Florida is a state with a lot of tourist attractions such as Disney world and Universal Studios along with being a place that people go to enjoy the warm climate. I think spring break, along with these other factors, are the reasons there was so many advertisements.
ReplyDeleteI agree I think this is all a great idea. Companies always pick times of the year such as March when spring breakers are in all of the hot spots to go and advertise to them. Its a great marketing technique because it gets your name out there by allowing people to wear or use products that have your brand on them.
